a prayer for the final weeks of pregnancy....and more specifically my dear sister...

Lord,

New mommies everywhere can relate to this prayer.

As many of us know, you made these little babies very resilient to disease, trauma, etc. We can put them through the most rigorous ordeals in the womb and they still deliver totally normal and healthy. So, Lord, I ask that you bind up and remove a spirit of fear, stress and worry in my sister.

Bring Your peace to this little baby and give Renee and baby a smooth, pain free delivery! In Jesus' name. Amen.

Lord, look upon my sister and her newborn!

Heavenly Father,

Today I pray for my sister and the baby in her belly.

Let them have a smooth delivery and look upon her new son as he goes into surgery.

Let your loving arms cradle them and heal them quickly so they may move on with a life in Christ.

In your name I pray for healing, health and your will to be done. Amen.

Do you ever feel jealous? Or like your blessings don't compare to others around you?

If so, then cut, paste and watch this video:

This morning I decided to Google "God"...

Within the top 8 search finds I was surprised to find an array of things. One was of my favorite song writer, John Lennon. Talking of how he doesn't beleive in the Beatles, he only beleives in himself. I didn't take the time to open it for lack of a truer answer.. (from the internet of all places?) So.. I kept going. There I found: http://www.doesgodexist.org

From there I found "the problem of human suffering' tab... I recomend you read it.

There is no prayer=exactly. I simply enjoyed the context and perspective on suffering and how we may view it as Christians.

I also found the article re-iterating something I'd read last week in the Prayer of Jabez book: "He will never send someone to you who you cannot help"... This has helped me to solidify that I *might* know my purpose in this life. To help. Particularily in areas where I can. And it has helped me to clarify that there are areas where despite my best efforts, I am simply not equipped to help. This, I am hoping will serve to help me let go of those instances where I just can only listen and not offer much in terms of experience.

Lord, I ask that you guide me into situations where I can assist others in living a better life. Getting them and myself through rough spots and moving on to be productive people as intended.

or as I read in Jabez:

Oh God and King: please expand my opportunities and my impact in such a way that I touch more lives for your glory. Let me do more for you. Amen

Simplicity defined.

For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.

Prayer of Jabez

Yesterday in the dollar store (of all places) I found some inspiration.

I picked up a book called: "Prayer of Jabez." One of the first blurbs I read upon thumbing through the book was this tidbit: "He will never send someone to you whom you cannot help" One of my first thoughts was: I wonder if the opposite is true, too? I wonder if he sends me people who can help me, too!?

Though I've not often thought of myself as 'helpful' necessarily. I do often find myself trying to do just that: be of some help, to someone. Maybe just my empathetic way, but I would love at the end of each day to say: I helped someone have a better day.

Now when I find myself in need of company, friendship, love, guidance: HELP, where do I turn? To God, yes. And to friends. And I find myself turning often these days.

Back to the prayer.. I love it. It's simple: (and can be found at: 1 chronicles 4:9-10

Oh that you would bless me indeed
and enlarge my coast
that your hand would be with me
and that you would keep me from evil.

Amen.
AMEN!!

Another glorious email from a friend. THANK YOU.

Prayers for Inner Peace

I open my heart to You, dear God, and let Your peace fill my being. In Your presence, I am peaceful, poised, confident and strong.

I relax in Your loving care, dear God, and release all my cares to You, knowing that You are upholding me and sustaining me in all that I do.

As I keep my heart and mind centered in You, God, I feel Your peace infusing my entire being and keeping me serene and secure.

To You, beloved God, I release all sense of turmoil. In the comfort of Your presence, I am content and peaceful.

God, Your presence calms me, quiets the storms around me, and leads me to a place of perfect peace. As I center myself in Your peaceful presence, I let go of every concern and relax in the safety of Your love.

the tiniest of birds....

I appreciate reading this in my current situation.

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter (H)various trials,

3knowing that (I)the testing of your (J)faith produces (K)endurance.

4And let (L)endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be (M)perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

5But if any of you (N)lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and (O)it will be given to him.

6But he must (P)ask in faith (Q)without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, (R)driven and tossed by the wind.

7For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,

8being a (S)double-minded man, (T)unstable in all his ways.

9(U)But the brother of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position;

10and the rich man is to glory in his humiliation, because (V)like flowering grass he will pass away.

11For the sun rises with (W)a scorching wind and (X)withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so too the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will fade away.

12(Y)Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive (Z)the crown of life which the Lord (AA)has promised to those who (AB)love Him.

13Let no one say when he is tempted, "(AC)I am being tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.

14But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust.

15Then (AD)when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when (AE)sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.

16(AF)Do not be deceived, (AG)my beloved brethren.

17Every good thing given and every perfect gift is (AH)from above, coming down from (AI)the Father of lights, (AJ)with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

18In the exercise of (AK)His will He (AL)brought us forth by (AM)the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of (AN)first fruits among His creatures.

19[a]This (AO)you know, (AP)my beloved brethren But everyone must be quick to hear, (AQ)slow to speak and (AR)slow to anger;

20for (AS)the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.

21Therefore, (AT)putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive (AU)the word implanted, which is able to save your souls.

22(AV)But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.

23For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face (AW)in a mirror;

24for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.

25But one who looks intently at the perfect law, (AX)the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be (AY)blessed in what he does.

26If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not (AZ)bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is worthless.

27Pure and undefiled religion (BA)in the sight of our God and Father is this: to (BB)visit (BC)orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by (BD)the world.

Silent Unity

Many years ago when I was going through miscarriage after miscarriage a friend of mine showed me the way to silent unity.

They pray. They pray for you for 30 days straight constantly. It's awesome.
